The Conduit

FOR THE SIGHT IMPARED;
Panel 1 - Interior: We are somewhere deep and dark, far beneath KILLHOUSE PRISON, in stone tunnels. A pair of WASTELAND ADVENTURERS. They are facing to the right. There is an open black tunnel in the background that they have just come from. They shine a flashlight beam of RED LIGHT in the direction they are facing.
Wastelander: “I think if we follow this tunnel, it should lead us to one of the old breakerboxes. Come on. This way”

Panel 2 - Interior: Same shot as 1. Same background. The wastelanders have gone. But from the darkness of the background, we can now see EYELESS JACK’S terrible glowing face (emphasis on the X’s he has for eyes) glinting out of the darkness. He is a lurking threat. We want to quietly imply he has been stalking the Wastelanders.

Panel 3 - Inside Box Looking Out: The “camera” is inside some sort of breaker box or piece of tech and is looking out on the face of the wastelander who is holding a wrench and screwdriver to fix whatever is inside the box, we see their face twisting in concentration. Behind them is darkness. Over their other shoulder, the second wastelander is holding the RED FLASHLIGHT at an angle  to give illumination to whatever is being worked on.

Wastelander: “Hold that light steady will ya? Let’s see if we can get this thing working”

Panel 4- Inside Box Looking Out: : Same shot as 3. The light has gone out. It’s dark. The outline of the second wastelander over-the-shoulder is gone. Silently killed by Jack.
Wastelander: “Hey man, cut that light back on will ya?”

Panel 5- Inside Box Looking Out: : Same shot as 4. In the black space EYLESS JACK’S terrible face gleams over the wastelander’s shoulder. It is the same menacing expression from before. Unchanged. This guy is a slasher. We see, however, a grimy stained machete is raised.
Wastelander: “Where’d ya go?”

Panel 6- Close up: The flashlight, now dark hits the floor. In the blurred background we can make out the hand of the corpse that dropped it
Amberdraught’s Voice, Clearly Coming through an offscreen walkietalkie: “ANSWER ME, you brutish oaf. Did you find the conduit? Is this thing on?”

Different Text Box. Scary Font Voice. This is the killer: “It’s found. Just a little pleasure before business, Governor. Now let me work”
